The Switch

 

Clutching the branch it cracks and creaks

arms are weary “Let go” God Speaks.

“The branch – the switch – can't hold for long

the fears and the doubts, won't make you strong.

 

The precipice which looms below

It's only in your mind you know.”

 

Returning to the fears and doubt

switch in my brain

the light turns out.

Two voices fight

one false

one true

What do I believe after all I've been through?

 

“Trust in my Love and I know you'll find

the path to peace to quiet your mind.

Release trust in me and

don't ask why”

 

Okay I'll let go ----

OH MY GOD I CAN FLY!

 

A Tender Heart

 

Tenderly holding heart in hand

Beating rhythm – waves on sand.
God's breath flows through every vein

Uncomplicating life – untangling skein.

Peace and Love – the metronome swing

In my ears the Truth can ring.

The worldly din –

my shrieking voice

Anxious rushing – blocking choice

Return to womb my Spirit space

To bathe in glorious God-filled grace.

 

Sailing Through the Fog

 

Fog horn sounding loud and clear

I slowly make my way

sailing through the pea soup fog

across Nantucket Bay.

 

Ocean dark I used to fear

I feel my fear transform

the arms of God embrace me

trust and faith are now my norm.

 

Ride the tide of intuition

safe harbor shall I find

by being still and listening

attentive to my mind.

 

In the middle of the ocean

no land, no sun or sky

feel only love surround me

no need to shake or cry.

 

My faith is now my anchor

sail tethered to my Source

guided by the angels

I can safely chart my course.

 

Knowing when to take a turn

to steer to stern or port

instinctive navigation

I'll never come up short!

 

The freedom in the silence

waves lap the only sound

a comfort in my solitude

no other soul around.

 

Yet in the fog I sense them

other souls who once did live

the souls who went before me

love and knowledge did they give.

 

This journey is the answer

allow my soul to grow

the destination's not important

it's being in the flow.

 

Love and peace they are the beacon

to safe harbor will they lead

when I set my foot again on land

my soul has now been freed!

 

Choose My Course

 

Choosing choice is always there no matter what I find

Thinking feeling choosing choice and choosing to be kind.

Kindness is the path to peace let no more conflict be

Sometimes hard to choose my choice with roughness on the sea.

 

Feel the need to join the voice of 'life is so unfair'

Feel as victim who forgot that love is EVERYWHERE!

Seeing others hurting me and weighing down my boat

Feel the angry anchor bringing burning to my throat.

 

True Love's course is always smooth why fight against the tide?

Why add the weight of harbored hate why not enjoy this ride?

Keep my eye on the horizon my gaze on One True Source

With freedom now I sail on Love and always choose Love's Course!

 

Under the Stars

 

Total silence, seas are calm constellations shining so bright

Peaceful sailing, gentle winds no one else in sight.

Apart from loved ones, never fear with starlight we're all one

Connected by the Spirit – be still – no need to run.

 

Let the ocean's rhythm fuel the sacred seed of trust

Tune out the taunting words which scream I should, I can't or must!

United gently with the world – all creatures great and small

And although at times I stumble, with God I'll never fall.

 

Breathe deeply feel the gift of peace in solitude around

The ocean's rhythmic beating is a meditative sound.

Prayers fill my mind and heart replace all doubt and fear

And with the new day's dawning with new strength I now can steer.

 

Real Time

 

If everyone let time stand still oh what a life we'd live

Focus on the sunrise to nature attention we'd give.

To throw away the watch and clock – let real time guide the way

Let our natural rhythms flow throughout the blessed day.

Peace and love would be the reign-no need for queens or kings

Competition disappears unfocus on worldly things.

Nature provides for food and home – there'd be abundance for all

Everyone working together – support and uphold if we fall.

The rat race it would be no more and stress would disappear

There'd be no doubts or rushing about – we'd put an end to fear!

 

“But nothing would get done” you'd say -

I say that's so not true

We'd accomplish everything

that we would NEED to do.

 

Don't Look!

 

Don't look for Truth on the Internet or on the TV's evening news

Don't look for Truth in an email or in someone else's views.

Don't look for Truth in the worry that plagues our thoughts through the day

But look for Truth in God's covenant that forever shall always stay.

 

Look for Truth in the sunrise – in the ocean's ebb and flow

Feel the Truth I placed in you, let life force swell and grow.

Feel the Love embrace you, to guide when you go astray.

Know I'm always with you as you go on journey's way.

 

Don't look for Truth in distractions – things you think went wrong

Take my hand in Truth and Love for your heart to sing a new song.

A song of joy and freedom – your heart can soar and take flight

And when you discover this Truth within you can live in love and light!

 

The Jigsaw Puzzle

 

I am a perfect puzzle piece we all make up the whole

sweep away the cobwebs of the fear that line my soul.

Stay connected to the pieces on my left and on my right

the path to peace and harmony a wholesome splendid sight.

 

The Creator of this puzzle cut each and every piece

it's time to stop the fighting and have every conflict cease.

The shapes may all be different yet each piece a precious gem

I search for hidden treasure that's in every one of them.

When we humans live our lives – separate – apart!

Believing we can do it all obsessed with worldly things

Forgetting to remember Love and all the peace it brings.

 

I believe that when you see us, it's with Your Special View

You only see the goodness - a lens designed by You.

Transform all imperfections and Truth Your eyes can see

Created from Your image of Love and Purity.

 

When I knock before You open my heart now beating fast

Your loving arms embrace me

AND I AM HOME AT LAST!

 

Trust

 

God is in the detours – God is in delay

There's always something splendid – God's blessing every way.

An email's lost, there's no reply don't fret – let go control

God's at work behind the scenes to move you toward your goal.

What God has planned can now unfold – be still and go within

Drown out the voice of ego – drown out the worldly din.

Celebrate the moment – give thanks release all doubt

Appearances not what they seem God turns them inside out.

A leper healed, a marriage feast – turns water into wine

The blind can see – afflictions – the time for God to shine!

Release the fear and know the Truth God's love can never die

Accept, believe and pray with faith no need for asking why.

 

Set Sail for a New World

 

No more second guessing – I'm the Captain of my Fate

but I can't steer this ship alone – God's my loving mate.

 

Before I left the Shore I made a promise to myself

confidence and love – supplies to stock up cabin's shelf.

 

I'm sailing with the rhythm of the ocean's ebb and flow

connection to my God to give me all I need to know.

The magic of this rhythm – in awe I'm standing tall

every day a new adventure as I listen for God's call.

 

The wonder that surrounds me – each moment something new

to appreciate this splendor in everything I do.

Each moment is so precious – a gift I get to choose

Fulfill my highest purpose – not a moment now to lose.

What a luxurious life I lead

this gift of feeling free

the flow of love and gratitude

to freedom hold the key.

 

No movie star husband did I wed

in no mansion we reside,

but I'm blessed beyond all imagining

on this glorious magical ride!

free in the knowledge that worry and doubt

can't sink their roots into me.

 

If dreary thoughts start swirling -

begin to rush and flow

I take them out of soil

No allowing them to grow.

perfect body, nails and hair

it's knowing I'm Your child

and this wisdom I can share.

Dare to Dream

 

Step out of all the muck and mire

Dare to set my soul on fire.

Dare to live and feel my dream

Forget what is or what may seem.

Pull the impossible out of thin air

Of God's inheritance I claim my share.

To dare to shout and spread the word

To dare to share what I have heard.

To live in Love and Faith and Trust

To love myself – that is a must.

Dare to live a passionate life

To easily maneuver through any strife.

To hold my dream close to my heart

And live with God one from the start.

Not slave and master but equals be

To live a life in harmony.

To dare to dream a life of peace

And know that wars can all now cease.

Disease no more but health now reigns

And Love erases all life's pains.

Living in love and loving in life is my heart's one desire

Dare to dream and live this dream to snuff out the funeral pyre.
